Oligarchy



Oligarchy (Greek , OligarkhĂ­a) is a form of government where political power effectively rests with a small, elite segment of society (whether distinguished by wealth, family or military prowess). The word oligarchy is from the Greek words for "few" ( Ăłligon) and "rule" ( arkho).
