Operation Dingson
During World War II, Operation Dingson was a large operation conducted by about 160 French paratroops (4 SAS) who jumped into Nazi-occupied France near Vannes on the night of 5 June, 1944. They established a base and began to arm and equip members of local resistance fighters.
