Operation Morning Light
Operation Morning Light was the joint Canadian/American recovery of the residue of the Soviet satellite Cosmos 954, which crashed near Great Slave Lake in January, 1978. The debris included radioactive portions of the satellite’s power plant and other items of interest to Western intelligence agencies.
