Octavio Zaya
Octavio Zaya is a critic and independent curator, who was born in Las Palmas (Canary Islands), and has lived in New York since 1978. Currently an Advisor for MUSAC (Leon) he has worked on many notable independent curatorial projects including: a retrospective of Shirin Neshat (MUSAC, Leon), a group show of Contemporary Iranian Artists (Koldo Michelena, San Sebastian and Kunsforeningen, Copenhague), an exhibition of emerging international artists (with Yuko Hasegawa and Augstin Perez Rubio, MUSAC) and another project with Fernando Renes (TRANS>area, New York).
