Oric Basirov is a renowned Anglo-Russian Archaeologist, Iranologist and historian. He read Old and Middle Iranian languages (Avestan, Old Persian, Parthian, Manichaean Middle Persian and Pahlavi) at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
