Optimax
V-Power is the brand name given to Shell's super-premium petrol (gasoline), formerly known as Optimax in some regions. It usually has a much higher octane rating than standard petrol at around RON (Research Octane Rating) 98; however this varies by market: In the UK, V-Power has a rating of 99 RON, while in the Republic of Ireland it is rated at 95 RON.
