O'Flaherty
O'Flaherty is a major Irish clan, originally called the Muintir Murchada, of which the name Ua Flaithbertaig became the name of its ruling dynasty. Their home territory was Maigh Seola, and the Ua Flaithbertaig were based on a crannog on an island in Loch Cime (now Lough Hackett).
