Opabinia
Opabinia was a highly unusual extinct animal found in early Cambrian fossil deposits. Its sole species, Opabinia regalis, is known from only two fossil beds: the Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale of British Columbia, and the Lower Cambrian Maotianshan shales of Yunnan, China.
