Origin and development of the Qur'an
Regarding the origin and development of the Qur'an, Islamic scholars proceed with the assumption that the Qur'an is exactly the same today as when it was revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad. The majority of secular scholars have adopted a number of other views, none of which assume divine origin.
