93d Air Control Wing
Redesignated from 93d Bombardment Wing (Medium) to 93d Bombardment Wing (Heavy) on 1 February 1955 at Castle Air Force Base, California. Retained some B-47 Stratojets until 1956, but received first B-52 Stratofortress in June 1955.
