The 2002 American League Championship Series was a matchup between the Wild Card Anaheim Angels and the Central Division Champion Minnesota Twins. The Angels advanced to the Series after dethroning the reigning 4-time AL Champion New York Yankees in the 2002 American League Division Series 3 games to 1.
