L'Église Sainte-Geneviève, in English the Holy Genevieve Church, is a parish church located in the French speaking village of Sainte-Geneviève, Québéc on the north-west shore of the Island of Montreal overlooking the Rivière des Prairies (River of Meadows or Back River). Its affiliation is Roman Catholic and is administered under the Diocèse de Montréal by La Paroisse Sainte-Geneviève de Pierrefonds (Holy Genevieve Parish of Pierrefonds), founded by Antoine FauconAccording to L'Église Sainte-Geneviève's official website, Antoine Faucon registered the first baptisms, marriages and burials in January of 1741 in 1741.
