1917 Stanley Cup Finals
In the 1917 Stanley Cup Finals, the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA) champion Seattle Metropolitans defeated the National Hockey Association (NHA) champion Montreal Canadiens 3 games to 1 in the best-of-five game series. In doing so, the Metropolitans (commonly nicknamed the "Mets") became the first United States team to win the Cup.
