2001 Macedonia conflict
The 2001 Macedonia conflict was an armed conflict which began when the ethnic Albanian NLA separatist group attacked the security forces of the Republic of Macedonia at the beginning of January 2001. The conflict lasted throughout most of the year, although overall casualties remained limited to several tens for either side, according to the sources from both of the sides in the conflict.
