‘Abdullah (name)

‘Abdullāh ( "servant of God", also spelled Abdullah or Abd Allah) is a common Arabic name, favored among Muslims because it indicates servitude and humility before God. According to a Hadith (Hadith - Abu Dawood, Narrated AbuWahb al-Jushami), the dearest of human names to God are ‘Abdullah and Rahman.
