The Texas Rangers 2007 season will begin with the team trying to beat out both the Los Angeles Angels and the Oakland Athletics for the AL West title. They started their offseason by dismissing manager Buck Showalter and replacing him with former Oakland Athletics third base coach Ron Washington.
