2001 Isle of Man TT
The 2001 Isle of Man TT festival did not take place. It was cancelled because of the epidemic of Foot-and-mouth disease which was affecting the United Kingdom in the spring and summer of 2001, and the impossibility of disinfecting 40,000 spectators and competitors (and their motorcycles) to ensure the disease was kept off the island.
