25th Infantry Division (United States)
In American military history, the 25th Infantry Division (nicknamed "Tropic Lightning") is a large military unit associated with operations in the Asia-Pacific region. It was activated on October 1, 1941 in Hawaii, and was formed using troops from the Hawaiian Division, which had been reorganized and redesignated as the 24th Infantry Division.
