The 1994 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XVII Olympic Winter Games, were celebrated in 1994 in Lillehammer, Norway. Other candidate cities were Anchorage, USA; Ă–stersund/Ă…re, Sweden; and Sofia, Bulgaria.
