2005 English cricket season (1-13 September)

The period of the 2005 English cricket season from 1 to 13 September saw England secure the Ashes with a draw in the final Test at The Oval, Hampshire lift the C&G Trophy after a final win at Lord's, and the Australian Women got revenge for the Women's Ashes defeat by winning the ODI series 3–2 and the Twenty20 international. Those matches started the period, with Australia recording a four-run win in the final ODI of the 5-match series - Clare Connor out as last woman when England needed five to win off the last over.
