Ó Neill is the name of one of the premier families of Ireland, formerly Kings of Tir Eogain and Earl of Tyrone. They were a branch of the northern Irish dynasty known as the Cenél Conaill, who were in turn an off-shoot of another dynasty, the Uí Néill
