1996 Summer Olympic bids
Six cities made the shortlist to host the 1996 Summer Olympics which were awarded to Atlanta, United States on September 18, 1990. The other cities were Athens (Greece), Toronto (Canada), Melbourne (Australia), Manchester (Great Britain) and Belgrade (Yugoslavia)
