Ăśbermensch
The concept of the —(homo superior; equivalent English: "overman", "super-human" or "trans-human"; see below)—was expounded by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in the 1883 book Thus Spoke Zarathustra, whose eponymous protagonist contends that "man is something which ought to be overcome". Zarathustra thus announces the coming of the Übermensch, which must succeed to nihilism in order to overcome it.
