Parabellum
The word Parabellum is a word coined by German arms maker Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken and is derived from the Latin saying si vis pacem, para bellum, meaning If you want peace, Prepare for war. The term has been used in the naming of a number of cartridges:
