The Park Tavern pub in Cinderhill remains in 2006 the only pub on the Cinderhill part of Nuthall Road on the boundary between the city and the county of Nottingham. The other two pubs in this part of Nuthall Road were the Red Lion, which was closed down due to a mixture of illegal drug dealing, constant trouble and a lack of interest in someone to take over the tenancy.
