Palliative care

Palliative care (from Latin palliare, to cloak) is any form of medical care or treatment that concentrates on reducing the severity of the symptoms of a disease, or slow the disease's progress, rather than provide a cure. However, it may occasionally be used in conjunction with curative therapy, providing that the curative therapy will not cause additional morbidity.
