PAH (gene)
PAH (phenylalanine hydroxylase) is a human gene that provides instructions for making an enzyme called phenylalanine hydroxylase. Phenylalanine hydroxylase is responsible for the first step in processing the amino acid phenylalanine, which is a building block of proteins.
