Patricia Wentworth



Dora Amy Elles (November 10, 1878 - August 5, 1961), known by her pen name Patricia Wentworth, was a British crime fiction writer. Born in Mussoorie, Uttaranchal, India, in what was then the British Raj, she is now famous for her series of 32 crime novels featuring Miss Maud Silver, the first of which was published in 1928, and the last of which was published in the year of her death.
