Pashupati



Pashupati (Sanskrit: पशुपथि, "lord of cattle/livestock") is a name of Rudra-Shiva in the Atharvaveda (the Rigveda has the related pashupa "protector of cattle" as a name of Pushan). Lord Shiva is widely known as Pashupati in contemporary Hinduism.
