The second Palm Sunday tornado outbreak occurred on April 11, 1965. Seventy-eight tornadoes (38 significant, 19 violent, 21 killers) hit the Midwest, making it the second (or third depending on the final tally of the March 12, 2006 tornado outbreak) biggest outbreak on record.
