Parnitha
Mount Parnitha (Greek, modern: ΠάĎνηθα, ancient/Katharevousa: -is, sometimes Parnetha), older forms Parnes, Parnis is a densely forested mountain range north of Athens, the highest on the peninsula of Attica. Much of the mountain is designated as a park and a protected habitat for wild fowl.
