Papal conclave
A papal conclave is the process by which the Roman Catholic Church elects the Bishop of Rome (the Pope) who, as he is considered the "Successor of Saint Peter," is the head of the Church.The closed room or hall specially set aside and prepared for the cardinals when electing a pope; also the assembly of the cardinals for the canonical execution of this purpose.
