Paul Mauriat
Paul Mauriat (Marseille, 4 March 1925 – 3 November 2006 in Perpignan) was a French orchestra leader, specializing in light music. He is best known in the United States for his hit (#1 for 5 weeks in 1968) recording of André Popp's "L'Amour est bleu" ("Love is Blue"), originally recorded by Vicky Leandros.
