Paolo Thaon di Revel
Paolo Thaon di Revel, Duca del Mare (1859-1948) was an admiral of the Royal Italian Navy (Regia Marina) during World War I. He twice served as Naval Chief of Staff during the war and was reluctant to risk the Italian battlefleet in anything other than a major surface action.
