Patricia Hill Collins



‘Patricia Hill Collins, (born May 1, 1948-) is Distinguished University Professor of Sociology at the University of Maryland, College Park and former head of the Department of African American Studies at the University of Cincinnati. She came to national attention for her book Black Feminist Thought: Knowledge, Consciousness and the Politics of Empowerment, originally published in 1990.
