Pasta fagioli
Pasta e Fagioli, meaning "pasta and beans," is a traditional Italian peasant dish that is now a frequent menu item in the United States, and the hotels of Canada, even in restaurants that don't feature Italian cuisine. Many years ago, this soup was considered peasant food-- hearty and nutritious, but cheap and easy to make.
