Quadruple data rate
Quadruple data rate (or quad pumping) is a microprocessor communication technique wherein data is transmitted four times for each clock cycle. Intel's Pentium 4 utilizes this technique to achieve an effective 800Â MHz (200Â MHz Ă— 4), or more recently an effective 1066Â MHz (266Â MHz Ă— 4).
