Quantitative notrump bids is a bridge treatment whereby, following an opening bid of 1NT or 2NT, a response of 4NT is a slam try asking opener to bid 6NT with a maximum point count or to pass with the minimum; some partnerships use the intermediate reply of 5NT for a middle pointcount; thus in the Acol system (12-14 weak NT) following this bidding: 1NT - 4NT opener's rebids should be:
