Raccoon Mountain Pumped-Storage Plant



Raccoon Mountain Pumped-Storage Plant is a pumped-storage hydroelectric underground power station. The lake covers 528 acres, and the dam is 230 feet high and 5800 feet long making it Tennessee Valley Authority's (TVA) largest hydroelectric facility Construction was started in 1970] and was completed in [[1978.
