Reconstruction (criminal investigation)
A reconstruction is a deliberate re-creation of a crime scene or incident, used by police and other investigative authorities in an attempt to jog the memory of witnesses to the event. Re-constructions of a crime scene in diagrammatic form may also be used in criminal court cases in an attempt to clarify information for a jury.
