Regular isotopy
In mathematics, a regular isotopy is an ambient isotopy that does not use the first type of Reidemeister move, meaning the knot or link can be deformed, pulled, and stretched, but not twisted. It is the equivalence of manifolds under continuous deformation within the embedding space.
