Raymond Maury

Raymond Maury was a weaver in the Comté de Foix in the late thirteenth and early fourteenth century, made notable by appearing in Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie's Montaillou. While most in the town of Montaillou did some weaving, Maury was the only one to sell his wool rather than use it in the home.
