Rebecca Lee Crumpler
Dr. Rebecca Davis Lee Crumpler (February 8, 1846 - March 9, 1922) was the first African American woman to become a physician in the United States, and was one of the first African Americans to author a book about medicine, publishing A Book of Medical Discourses in 1883.
