Tennessee Marriage Protection Amendment



The Tennessee Marriage Protection Amendment is a so-called "defense of marriage amendment" to the Tennessee State Constitution approved by referendum in 2006. It specifies that only a marriage between a man and a woman can be legally recognized in the state of Tennessee.
