Temperance Bar

Traditionally (and especially in Lancashire England), bars produced by the Temperance Society originally advocated a moderate approach to life, especially in regard to the consumption of alcohol, but later moved toward abstinance entirely. Temperance Bars with full temperance licenses (allowing them to serve on Sundays despite English trading laws at the time) were once common in many high streets and shopping regions in the North of England.
