Taiwanese kana
Taiwanese kana (タイ ă˛ă‚ˇăŚ ギイ カア ă“ェăł; Traditional Chinese:臺çŁčŞžĺ‡ĺŤ; PeĚŤh-ĹŤe-jÄ«: Tâi-oân-gĂ ká-bĂŞng; Pinyin: TáiwÄnyÇ” jiÇŽmĂng; Romaji: Taiwan-go kana) is a katakana-based writing system once used to write Holo Taiwanese language, when Taiwan was administrated by Japan. It worked as phonetic guidance to hanzi, much like furigana in Japanese or Zhuyin fuhao in Chinese.
