Terrorism in Uzbekistan
Terrorism in Uzbekistan a far greater threat to Uzbekistan than to any other Central Asian state. Prior to the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, an Islamic terrorist organization affiliated with Al Qaeda, posed the greatest threat to the stability of the Karimov administration.
