TakatÄpui

TakatÄpui (also spelt takataapui) is the MÄori word meaning a devoted partner of the same sex. In modern terminology, a person that identifies as takatÄpui is a MÄori individual that is queer, in other words gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender or transsexual.
