Tetraoctylammonium bromide
Tetraoctylammonium brimide, (also tetraoctyl ammonium bromide, TOAB, or TOABr), chemical formula: [ C H3 (CH2)7]4N Br, is a quaternary ammonium salt. It is generally used as a phase transfer agent from an aqueous phase (like water) to organic phase (like toluene).
