The TĂşpac Amaru Revolutionary Movement or Movimiento Revolucionario TĂşpac Amaru (MRTA) was a communist guerrilla movement active in Peru from 1984 to 1997. It was led by NĂ©stor Cerpa Cartolini until his death in 1997.
